Community Transition Academy

Community Transition Academy is a non-profit organization which provides Autistic young adult with life skills that will better improve their capabilities as they reach the point of adulthood. The skills provided are but not limited to:

  • Practice of appropriate social skills
  • Relationship development
  • Network building
  • Self-advocacy
  • Self care
  • Health and fitness
  • Shopping
  • Cooking and meal planning
  • Navigate public transportation

Requirements:

  • Between 17 to 22 Years old
  • Must have challenges most commonly associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Referred or enrolled by guardian

Compass Academy

Compass Academy caters to children from Kindergarten to 12th grade, struggling in a traditional public school setting. Many of the students have an option to take an online course or study in a home school program. Compass Academy is mainly assist children in the Section 504 in IDEA 2004, however, some exceptions may apply for minors under the IEP. Compass Academy helps students with:

  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Dyslexia
  • Sensory Neurodevelopment
  • Children who’ve been bullied
  • Children who are gifted
  • Children with Chronical-Illness

Requirements :

  • Parent or Guardian approval
  • Scholar Enrollment

ED to the Future

Ed to the future is dedicated to provide educational support to minors with learning disabilities. They work as a tutoring resource form children with IEP or any minor who needs a little extra support with homework. The service is available for anyone in the Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe. Ed to the Future provides services for:

  • Email needs to be sent to place them in the roster and arrange the first session.

Requirements:

  • Accepts children between K-8

KAVOD ELEMENTARY CHARTER SCHOOL

Kavod Elementary Charter School provides a curriculum infused with values of social responsibility citizenship and respect for others. Not only do they try to build each student’s ethics, they also broaden their capability to communicate with other students by providing a multilingual setting with English, Hebrew and Spanish. They are only accepting students from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
